FAQ About Preparing For Your First Meeting

We recognize this might be your first time meeting with an attorney. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about first meetings:

Do I Need To Bring Anything?

Our staff will let you know if there is anything you need to bring. One thing we recommend is a notebook or device, such as your phone, on which you can take notes. Beyond that, it never hurts to start getting your relevant documents organized and stored someplace where you can access them easily if and when we need you to share them with us, including bank statements and other financial documents, any pre-existing legal agreements and similar items.

Can I Ask Questions At The Meeting?

Absolutely. In fact, we encourage you to bring a list of questions along with you to the meeting to make absolutely sure we get everything answered for you. Part of our commitment to individualized attention means listening to you and making sure you are armed with all the facts you need to understand where your case is going and what the potential outcomes may be.

How Long Will The Meeting Last?

In most cases, first meetings last no more than an hour, though they can go longer for very complex cases. When you schedule your meeting, our staff will give you an estimate on the time commitment for the meeting. We are here to counsel you through life’s difficult times.

If you have any other questions ahead of your first meeting, please reach out.
