Are you ready to prepare for your divorce?

Ending a marriage is not a decision to make lightly. You probably already know this and may have gone back and forth trying to decide whether divorce was truly right for your situation. Being as certain as possible is a key starting point to this process, which can be long and difficult at times.

Tragic birth accident can result in medical malpractice

The anticipated birth of a child is typically one of the happiest and most exciting in a woman's life in Maryland. While most women hope for a relatively easy and safe delivery, circumstances can require that a cesarean section be performed to protect the life of the mother and child. When this is the case, it increases the likelihood of a woman requiring a cesarean section on a subsequent pregnancy. This happened in a hospital in another state and resulted in a medical malpractice case.

High-asset divorce, like any divorce, can be disruptive

Divorce is seldom easy and can be very disruptive, particularly when children are involved. One decision that often has to be made early in the process is whether to keep or sell the family home in Maryland. This can be a very emotional decision and also a financial one. Where it used to be financially difficult for one person to afford the home, it has become a bit easier in part due to lower interest rates. In a high-asset divorce a slight softening in the prices of larger homes is also making it a bit easier for one person to keep the home.

Intersections a common site for motor vehicle accidents

There are thousands of intersections in Maryland. It is no secret that these locations are high risk for motor vehicle accidents. Especially if multiple vehicles approach an intersection simultaneously, disaster can occur if any one of the drivers is not paying attention or is acting in a reckless manner.

Improper care can lead to medical malpractice

The anticipated birth of a child can be one of the most joyous times in a person's life. The hope is always that a child will be born healthy and expectant mothers trust their doctors to provide care that gives the best chance of a healthy outcome for both mother and child in Maryland. A medical malpractice case in a neighboring state alleged that doctors did not adequately perform to that expectation.
